Friday.. Tropicana Cafe..Circular Quay shopping..and got a new coin to add to my collection @ the Opera House.

AND am super excited about the Pretzel M&M's that finally came out in the States. Even more excited..that my roommmate's sister is coming Friday and she can bring them to ME!!!

Saturday...met Nikita for some shopping downtown..found some super fun places---Glebe Markets, QVB, and street patrolling...lot of great unique places I found...lasted all day had to rush back to meet Kristen and Barton (my RA).

June 10

Thursday..hit a new local cafe (Tropicana) did some computer WIFI browsing...did some errands..and had a lazy day.

My roommate and I went to a show at the Opera House called Glow.

It hit all target ages..wacky humor (humour--Australia spelling)..very interactive...

flying popcorn balls, spiders crawling in the audience, and money papers falling from the sky..it was all in highlighter bright colors...


Also, gave me another chance to see the Opera House lit up @ night...

June 6-9

Last night, we got to our hostel late and played cards until 2am with chocolate coins as our gambling choice..

Sunday, 2 out of the 8 of us went to Port Douglas for beaches, chatting, shopping, and lunch. Then bus-ed back to Cairns--more cards.

Monday we took the Aristocat snorkeling tour..we got picked up at 650am and hit 3 different reefs.

also 1 of the guys and i had a mission of how many ice cream/gelato shops we could find and how many different kinds to sample: 8 shops..13 different flavors:

Tuesday we rented a car and drove up the coast to Cape Tribulation...we took some pictures at well known gorge, then headed up for a Crocodile Boat Cruise..where we got binoculars and all and saw probably 10 crocodiles..pretty neat seeing them in their own element vs.. the cages...

then we went jungle swinging..

Wednesday..we did some fun local stuff around Cairns. Perfect winter weather (over 80 degrees)

June 4-5

Today Dad and Jenn left me. Very sad. Basically 2 of the fastest weeks of my life.

So I headed to the the Coogee Cafe for breakfast and coffee and for some people watching.

Then met Nikita for Sex and the City 2. We had lunch at Arthurs Pizza and went to Choco Latte for coffee/dessert.

It poured the hardest I have ever seen it rain here..

Then I came back relaxed a bit and went to dinner with my roommate at the place I went to last night:)

Saturday.. met a friend at the Coogee Cafe for breakfast. Did some shopping at Surry Hills Markets..which are only the 1st Saturday of every month! Oh no--it was the last Saturday I will be able to go.

Got back in the afternoon and got a burrito for lunch at a new place I tried called the Beach Burrito Company.

Now I am off to catch a flight to Cairns (Great Barrier Reef) until Wednesday.

June 2-3

Wednesday.. Dad, Jenn, and I went to Bronte Beach for a long walk and then some breakfast.

Then I napped hit Melonhead and had a class. Join Dad and Jenn for dinner at City Extra Restaurant and then we headed to Luna Park and another viewing of the Opera House lit up (this time cheetah-ish).

Thursday.. Dad and I had breakfast at Coogee Cafe. Then the 3 of us went to Manly for lunch at the Manly Grill and some shopping. After we went back to Circular Quay via ferry and went to the Minus5 Ice Bar.

Dad went swimming in the Coogee water at night.. burrr...rain...cold..in the dark..and the waves were extra life-threatening because of the tornado water warnings..

Happy Early Birthday Darovena..

Had to be on campus early for pre-presentation stuff, went to Brumpys in the morning before.

My friend and I baked for the Childrens Hospital that I volunteer at.

Then I went to the QVB after classes, and headed back to Darling Harbour for dinner with Dad and Jenn.

After we took a boat from Darling to Circular Quay for the Sydney Opera House lighting.
