After arriving..and after having a pure panic attack because my phone was dying and my power adaptor didn't fit the wall.. I jumped in the shower, jumped on the bus, and headed to the mall for some last minute browsing..note the extra large cupcakes they have and the chocolate fountain for dipping waffles in (at the mall).. After the mall we headed back to our housing (right across from the beach) and snagged some lunch (Greek salad).. everything is so fresh and appealing. After re-fueling late in the day around 3pm we headed to register for classes and get our ID's.
Later in the day I headed to a few local markets and scoped out the fruit (of course).. I found so many other goodies I was overwhelmed.. Crispy M&M's and Mix-Up M&M's? All the restaurants and markets were so appealing and fresh (unlike anything I have seen).. instead of one big grocery.. they have specialized markets(fruit & vegetables, fish, meat, smoothies, etc).
After resting.. we were off to explore the night life at Scruffy Murphy's: (http://www.scruffymurphys.com.au/).
Quite the adventure there and back... ending with a late bus ride and late night 7-11 snacks a large chocolate chip muffin that was big enough to feed all 5 of us, Chunky Kit-Kats, and a bag of gummies. Day 1 in Australia was complete.
